Under the requirements introduced by Directive (EU) 2017/828 (SHRD2), transposed into Italian law with Legislative Decree no. 49 of 10 May 2019 and intended to improve the governance of companies whose shares are listed on regulated European markets through greater and more informed shareholder engagement in corporate governance, Institutional Investors and Asset Managers must adopt and publicly disclose a policy describing how they integrate shareholder engagement in their investment strategy.
Cassa Centrale Banca has adopted an “Engagement Policy”, published in this section of its website, that describes how the Bank monitors investee companies, the intervention strategy, the approach to engagement, as well as the strategy concerning the exercise of voting rights, including by proxy or through any proxy advisory services, within the scope of the portfolio management service and the management of institutional investment mandates.
